Beautiful day for our first 5k
We had our first club race, a 5k in Aillebrack, on Sunday 9th November. What a day! It was wonderful to see so many runners and walkers out enjoying a beautiful winters day. Full results are below as well as a few pictures of the day.
Many thanks to Connemara Golf Club for hosting us after the race and giving hungry runners an delicious spread of cakes, to Keeraunmore mobile home Park for allowing to use their facilities, to Rob King and Niamh Sexton for providing first aid cover, to Emma O Toole for taking photos. Thanks also to all who volunteered on the day and made the event such a success.
We were also joined by Committee members of the last athletics club in the area who presented us with a cheque for €3345.39, which will be such a great support for our club - thank you so much.
