A fantastic race day, with fun for everyone from those getting medals to the many families who did the 2k and family fun run. As well as many people from the club, we had lots of entrants from across the country for a scenic flat (mostly) race.
Two sunny days of competition for our athletes! Some great results including medals of all colours, but more importantly lots of fun and huge improvements by so many. And it was really good to see everyone in their Slyne Head kit.
Our first competition as a club! Slyne Head sent a team of amazing young athletes to the Galway Indoor Athletics in the TUS Arena in Athlone. We're so proud of them all. And thank you to everyone who came along and competed or helped over the weekend. Special mention to Eabha who got our first club medal!
We had our first club race, a 5k in Aillebrack, on Sunday 9th November. What a day! It was wonderful to see so many runners and walkers out enjoying a beautiful winters day. Full results are below as well as a few pictures of the day.
